A tactical error ruined a chance of a place. Taking a risk on a beat
out to Ailsa Craig looking for the forecasted South Easterly changed to a North Easterly
stranding us 8 miles to leward of Lamlash. With tide turn lost 3
places and about 4 hours, but hey you gotta give it a go :(
We did it! A hard slog for all but team Kookaburra are delighted to have finished our first Islands Peaks Race. Not only that, but we managed to raise over £5k for the National Autistic Society as well as fundraising for Leukaemia Research and the Yorkhill Children's Foundation. We would like to thank everyone who sponsored us and supported us on this challenge. 'Thank You!'
